Sarasas Pittaya School : Foundation and Buildings

Introduction;

Sarasas Pittaya School has been established for over 4 decades and was the fore-runner in establishing Bilingual Education in Thailand.

The first Bilingual class began here in 1993 in St.Dominic's building and was called "The Extra Class". This meant that they learnt more English than the normal classes by having Mathematics, Science, Social studies and Morals taught in English as well as having English as a Second Language.

The mission of the school is to provide a broad and wholesome education for every child, to encourage excellence and a love of learning and to enable each student to develop to their full potential, physically, morally, emotionally, socially and academically.

One of the main advantages of the Bilingual Programme at Sarasas Pittaya School is that while the students are being exposed to and taught the English Language in all subjects from foreign and native English-Speaking teachers, the school also couples this with the imparting of ethical and moral values of Thai society, a knowledge and an awareness of Thai culture, customs and traditions while at the same time giving a global perspective of the world and a wider vision of life.

Now, In the Bilingual Programme we teach Chinese (Mandarin) as a 3rd language and students can choose their 4th language from Italian, French or German, so that our students are enriched with more language skills, more knowledge and more achievement in order to take their rightful place in the world of tomorrow.
